At Wold, our mission goes beyond designing buildings; it’s about building communities and fostering meaningful connections. We believe our work extends far beyond office walls, with every project and interaction offering an opportunity to contribute to the betterment of the communities we serve. From partnering with local organizations to supporting educational and cultural initiatives, we strive to make a lasting impact as trusted collaborators and advocates.
Our commitment to community involvement is reflected in the diverse range of activities we engage in outside the office. Whether it’s volunteering for local charity events, collaborating on input for public projects or strengthening ties with industry peers at conferences, these experiences allow us to connect more deeply with the people and places we serve. By participating in events that celebrate our work and partnerships, we share Wold’s values of collaboration, innovation and service while strengthening relationships that inspire us to grow together. Check out what we’ve been up to this summer and fall below!
Earlier this year, Wold Principal Rachel Hendrickson joined the celebration at a beam-signing event to mark the start of construction on Dakota County’s new Behavioral Health Center. Adding her name to the beam was just one of many memorable moments that reflect the excitement of seeing one of our projects come to life. Being on-site with our clients for milestones like this reminds us why we love what we do: bringing designs from vision to reality and building toward the ribbon-cutting day!
Kicking off the fall season, several Wold Illinois team members volunteered at the annual Rotary Club of Palatine Oktoberfest, celebrating German culture while giving back to the local community. As proud event sponsors, we’re honored to support an initiative that has raised over $1 million for local charities in the past 16 years, making a lasting impact where it matters most!
Josh Grenier, Job Gutierrez and Denille LePlatte, leaders in Wold’s Colorado education office, attended the 84th Annual Colorado Association of School Boards (CASB) Convention, capping off the event by hosting Wold’s annual reception. The evening was filled with lively conversations, drinks, desserts and a crowd-favorite selfie station, offering a perfect opportunity to reconnect and explore new opportunities with friends and colleagues. As our Colorado presence grows, we’re energized by the chance to strengthen relationships with familiar faces and build new connections at events like these.
The Wold team had a fantastic time at the IASB Joint Annual Conference, where we connected with district leaders and attendees at our booth to discuss how we design inspiring learning spaces for communities across Illinois. The highlight of the event was our annual cocktail reception at the Living Room Lounge and Gallery in the Hyatt Regency Hotel. Guests joined us for an evening of cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and meaningful conversations, making it a perfect opportunity to strengthen relationships and celebrate the shared mission of supporting education.
Wold’s Healthcare and Senior Living team had a packed and exciting fall, diving into the heart of conference season! From presenting to engaged audiences at the Iowa Hospital Association (IHA) Annual Meeting and the Wisconsin Healthcare Engineering Association (WHEA) to connecting with colleagues and friends during downtime on the conference circuit, the season was full of meaningful moments.
The Wold team came together to celebrate gratitude and good eats at our annual Thanksgiving potlucks across our offices! Along with sharing delicious homemade dishes and festive laughter, we took a moment to reflect on the incredible clients and communities we’ve had the privilege to serve this year. From designing inspiring spaces to bringing visions to life, we’re grateful for the trust placed in us to create impactful environments that make a difference.
Wold is proud to support the Bureau of Indian Education and the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe in reimagining the Cheyenne Eagle Butte School replacement project in Eagle Butte, South Dakota. This unique K-12 school and boarding facility will include housing for students and teachers along with a full stadium, serving approximately 765 students. By working with federal agencies to address deferred maintenance and create safer, more inspiring learning environments, we’re helping build comprehensive and inspiring environments that will meet the needs of Native American students and their communities for years to come.
