Wold Team

At Wold, we believe the impact of our team extends far beyond the confines of our office walls. We seek to foster a collaborative and innovative culture that empowers our team to learn each day. By prioritizing community engagement and team-building opportunities, our team members make a difference as people as well as architects and engineers.

Our approach to developing culture outside the office includes diverse activities that cultivate strong interpersonal connections among team members. From participating in local charity events and community projects to attending team retreats and networking outings at industry conferences, these experiences allow us to connect on a personal level and share our values while building stronger relationships. The initiatives and activities we champion outside the office are a cornerstone of our philosophy of community partnership and a key driver of our success. In this blog, we’re sharing how Wold gets out in the wild to build meaningful relationships.

Reflecting on progress and planning the future at the annual mid-year meeting

Twice a year, Wold gathers its leadership team from across the country at its headquarters in Minnesota to connect in person and discuss opportunities for growth in our company. This summer, we were especially excited to welcome back author and acclaimed keynote speaker Joe Mull about employee engagement and how to be better mentors as he shared real-world experience and strategies for improving our business and culture.

Teeing up for success: Wold leaders and partners hit the greens

We relish the opportunity to connect with industry partners, dedicated clients and community leaders each time we grab a set of clubs and head to the fairway. Our teams were eager to take a swing and bond with colleagues at various conference golf outings across the country over the summer.

Tennessee team co-sponsors Franklin Tomorrow’s June edition of “FrankTalks”

This summer, our Tennessee office co-sponsored a table at FrankTalks with Nabholz Corporation, one of our construction manager partners in the state. FrankTalks is a monthly community conversation series that provides an opportunity for Franklin residents to learn, engage and discuss topics that help shape the community. We were excited for the event to be hosted at one of our previous projects, the Franklin Special School District Performing Arts Center!

Backpack drive provides critical school supplies to students in greater Chicago area

We are continuously looking for ways to make a difference for local families outside of architecture and design projects. Our Illinois office has participated in the Back to School program with Communities that Care for the past three years. The program gives underprivileged students in grades 1-8 a chance to pick up vital school supplies ahead of the next school year as part of a backpack drive that aims to equip students with the supplies they need to succeed.

Wold sponsors pit stop at Hennepin Healthcare Foundation’s Adventurama

For Twin Cities locals looking to make a difference in their community, the Adventurama is a must-run event! Our team proudly sponsored a pit stop for the “amazing race” style event, where we joined in the fun with racers (including eating crickets!) to help raise money for patients in the Hennepin Healthcare hospital system.

Supporting our clients at every major milestone

We’re always eager to support our project partners as they celebrate the latest achievements in the projects we work together to design. Whether we’re breaking ground on a new town hall, dedicating a veterans home or cutting the ribbon at one of the most innovative schools in the country, our team proudly stands alongside the people who worked together to make it happen.
