Wold was hired to master plan the needs and use of the Adams County Government Center Building. The County's objectives were to improve efficiency, improve workflow, improve security and control public access to the 180,000-square-foot building.
Wold developed an immediate, short-term and long-term space needs plan to utilize space within the building better. The primary needs involved new space for the Sheriff's Administrative Offices and Public Works Department. Staff transitioned from individual offices to more flexible and efficient environments. Tours of other facilities played a significant role to engage with staff.
Security was improved by relocating most public access to the first floor allowing the elevators and stairwells to be secured. The next phase involved the Treasurer's office and the County Commissioner's offices. T master plan increases the building's security and makes the space more efficient and effective throughout.
