Wold was brought in to help due to our expertise in 911 Dispatch Centers and our long track record of successfully helping Anoka County plan and implement projects.
After studying the potential of purchasing and converting an existing building into a 911 Dispatch Center in 2020 and then studying the sizing, siting, and cost of a potential new dispatch center for Anoka County in 2021, Wold began design in 2022 of a new 45,000-square-foot facility adjacent to the county’s Public Works and Sheriff’s Office campus in Andover.
The facility not only provides modern dispatching facilities for predicted call volume well into the future, but it also collocates the county’s Radio Technology Shop which maintains the radio equipment used in dispatching and distributed in County vehicles and to law enforcement throughout Anoka County.
