Wold was hired to help Chaffee County design a new pre-engineered building for the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and the Sheriff’s Office. This facility will support EMS medics and vehicles, with on-site live/work quarters for their 48-hour shifts. It will also provide a separate area with much-needed Sheriff’s office and vehicle space, and a multi-function large meeting and training room for flexible use.
Wold is providing full-service design management, regularly involving decision makers, working with pre-engineered building vendors, providing guidance for energy-efficiency and building systems redundancy, and keeping an eye on cost and budget. Planning also includes coordination with the Colorado Department of Local Affairs, as grant funds are being sought for the project.
