Faced with significant community needs and an outdated 1930’s elementary school that could no longer handle the growing capacity of the District, the Chisago Lakes School District worked with Wold and ICS Consulting on Long-Range Planning to help pass a $64.95M referendum in 2017.
Projects at all schools in the District focused on creating spaces that embrace the future of learning, providing a blend of collaborative and instructional spaces, as well as spaces to serve the community. The new elementary school houses second-fifth grade students which include a central resource area for group learning. The high school included fitness facilities shared with the community and additions and renovations to the career trades to provide students with practical experience. Taylors Falls Elementary School and Primary School included both bond and long-term facilities maintenance (LTFM) projects that corrected programmatic needs for growth, enhance learning experiences, and secure entries.
