The City of Rogers has experienced rapid growth over the last two decades, and city officials recognized the need for another fire station in addition to the original Fire Station No. 1, which was built in 1997 when Rogers’ population was only 3,650. Our team was hired by the city to design its new Fire Station No. 2, a new two-story, 16,000-square-foot facility. This $10.2 million project will include direct access to Highway 144 and significantly improve response times on the north side of the city and the Otsego service area.
The modern facility features a performance-forward design to enhance fire operations and enable staff to train and perform at their peak. Fire Station No. 2 includes decontamination space for firefighters, new sleeping rooms for the duty crew, office and workspace for the crew stationed at the site, wellness spaces for training and fitness, and more. A groundbreaking ceremony was held in October, and construction is anticipated to be complete by fall 2024.
