Having gone through several additions and renovations over the years, Cretin-Derham Hall (CDH) High School lacked a cohesive entrance and
proper gathering/common space. Wold & CDH collaborated to identify unused space within their building to transform & create a safe, welcoming
building entrance and a modern, flexible space for students and guests alike.
In a previous remodel, the building entrance was moved from the east to the west side of campus, creating a confusing and unnatural entry point that was not conducive. Thus, most students and guests used the “activities entrance” as an entrance because of its better location within the building. Wold used this as an opportunity to transform the activities entry into the main entry by adding on a security office and transforming the space inside into what students call “the forum”- a flexible learning space complete with integrated technology for collaboration for small and large groups.
Wold also worked on an addition to house a STEM Lab, which included remodeling the library to better support STEM learning. A “clean lab” and “dirty lab” were developed to support their curriculum.
