Wold was hired by Dakota County to study improvements to their Burnhaven License Center in 2020. After a few years of delay due to the pandemic, the design was restarted in 2022 with a fresh perspective on post-pandemic operations.
Because the license center’s existing space was insufficient, Wold’s consensus-driven design process helped develop solutions to not only meet the needs of safety, service delivery, adequate waiting space, and customer friendliness but also helped address issues of the adjacent Burnhaven Library by improving the book pick-up, book return, and self-help areas of the library within less space.
