After an initial assessment in 2010, Wold Architects and Engineers worked with ISD 273 Edina Public Schools to establish a comprehensive approach to managing and improving facilities.
We have completed major additions and renovations on four elementary schools and one middle school. We are currently implementing additions and renovations on all district buildings, a major athletic addition to the high school, a new transportation facility, and on-going long-term facilities maintenance (LFTM) projects. The driver for the majority of the referendum work was not about changes to individual buildings but rather broad-based district-wide initiatives. All media center spaces were reimagined from early childhood through the high school, every building integrated collaborative and independent learning zones, and security procedures were implemented from entry points to building lockdown strategies to provide a cohesive and comprehensive approach to District strategic goals and alignment in the facilities.
