Working out of a 1938 Quonset hut, the Elbert County Road & Bridge needed a new facility to better accommodate its operations. Our team was hired to conduct a pre-design process to help identify specific needs, find areas of opportunity to improve operations and replace the facility as a whole.
The process identified an opportunity to add a vehicle storage component to provide advantages in employee safety, increase response times, protect expensive equipment and decrease employee downtime. The programmatic need also recognized the opportunity to add maintenance bays to allow the County to service vehicles and save money going forward.
