Glenwood City Public Schools has provided improvements to their K-12 facility to best prepare students for careers after high school and to improve spaces that directly impact the community. In 2023, the school renovated all of their industrial arts spaces to be more career-focused and flexible to better accommodate today’s Career & Technical Education (CTE) approaches. This included improving hands-on lab spaces for metals and woods activities, providing supporting classroom and computer spaces, updating the agricultural space to be better equipped for today’s needs, as well as remodeling the foods lab from a traditional home-ec space into one that can offer both home and culinary experiences learning.
The following year, the District underwent improvements to relocate their weight and fitness room so that it could have better access to the public in a renovated space. Additionally, early childhood classrooms were renovated and expanded to be able to increase enrollment in response to demand. Lastly, the school renovated their middle school/high school library to be a media commons to provide students an environment that supports their learning needs and social connections.
