As part of the referendum approved by voters in November 2019, White Bear Lake Area Schools constructed a new comprehensive kindergarten through fifth-grade elementary school with a total capacity of 720 students.
The building is situated on a beautiful site in Hugo, MN. The features of the building include a gymnasium, cafeteria, six classroom wings, and a centrally located two-story learning commons that forms the heart of the building. Using the site as an inspiration, the design incorporates a natural color palette and building forms. Wold worked closely with District staff and administrators to create flexible learning environments and other amenities that meet the needs of students, staff, and the community alike.
