North Woods Elementary is a new school serving 835 pre-kindergarten to fifth grade students for the Wayzata School District. The building is an updated replication of Meadow Ridge Elementary also designed by Wold. Innovative design features such as a media center with glass operable walls allow public use in the evening. The classroom pods also include operable glass walls. All spaces in the building are designed to provide flexibility to support learners by meeting their needs rather than forcing rigid building constraints upon them. The building also includes state-of-the-art mechanical systems and improved energy efficiency.
