The City of Murfreesboro, Tennessee selected Wold to provide design and construction administrative services for the renovation of their existing tennis courts. Our design phase commenced with a kickoff meeting to understand the City’s scope and goals for the existing facility. The existing eight tennis courts were reduced to six tennis courts, but added six pickleball courts.
A topographic survey was prepared to establish our base information and a preliminary layout was provided for the City
to review.
The final design included Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) improvements for both players and spectators, along with concrete sidewalks and bleacher pads. A small plaza for pickleball players was also added. New vinyl-coated fencing was added along with a perimeter concrete curb. An asphalt overlay, sport court coating, nets posts, nets, and LED lighting were included to provide a refurbished and expanded facility for the citizens of Murfreesboro.
