Sauk Rapids-Rice Public Schools passed a referendum in November 2019 to replace the aging Pleasantview Elementary School. Community input during the referendum process indicated the importance of replacing the building on the same site.
The new building is designed to meet the expectations of modern learning in an environment that is ready for the future, and the building capacity is planned for up to 900 students, which allows for future growth. Each grade level has its own community that are surrounding the media center, which is the heart of the design directly inside the main entry.
