Wold’s history with Prior Lake-Savage Area Schools has its roots in the 1970s/recently, Wold designed a state-of-the-art 21st-century addition to the high school to add a 2,500-student capacity. The school will now accommodate 3,100 students with a core capacity to accommodate up to 4,000 students.
The main efforts of the new addition include an emphasis on flexible learning spaces- one third of the new classrooms built sit adjacent to flexible learning areas to create an open, collaborative feel. The already large commons was expanded yet again and new furniture and a learning stair were added to accommodate small, medium, and large group learning and collaboration. Additionally, a high-end food court, kitchen, and servery were added to accommodate the growing student population. Lastly, a new four-station field house was added which houses four full basketball courts for the use of the school and community alike.
