Wold has had a long-standing relationship with the City of Lakeville for over two decades. We were first asked to conduct a feasibility analysis for the existing log structure, to obtain funding as part of a City-wide parks referendum. After funding was secured, in 2022 Wold was hired to restore and preserve the historic building to become a functional environmental center for the Ritter Farms Park. The original building was built during WWII, and about 15 years ago the building was gifted to the City, and has sat vacant until the proper preservation could occur. This restoration consisted of exposing and restoring the interior log walls, infilling of the existing log structure, adding utilities for new restroom, and aesthetically and structurally integrating a small addition to the existing building.
