The Sheriff's Patrol Headquarters for Scott County replaces a temporary facility and consolidates previous patrol facilities housed across the County. The new facility, strategically located in Scott County's center along major roadways, allows sheriffs to access any part of the County quickly.
The design features two intersecting corridors for the facility's patrol support and administrative areas, where the intersection acts as a central hub for interaction and collaboration. The building remains expandable for the future while accounting for multi-use opportunities in training and conference space. Designed with energy efficiency and ease of maintenance in mind, the mechanical system utilized geothermal wells with ground source heat pumps. The durable materials and modest design are appropriate for county government while representing the best value to the Scott County taxpayers.
