Stillwater Area School District hired Wold to help transform the Oak Park Learning Center into a dedicated space for its Alternative Learning program. This renovation emphasizes intentional design to accommodate a variety of learning styles, grade levels and programming needs for students seeking alternatives to traditional education environments. The updated facility features three classrooms designed for visibility and equipped with operable walls, allowing for flexible group sizes and project-based learning.
Additionally, two multifunctional labs were created to easily transition between science, culinary arts, visual arts and other hands-on lessons. A centralized area promotes additional learning opportunities and provides shared resources for easy access, supporting the program's goal of fostering a smaller learning community. The design also incorporates spaces for special education and student support services, ensuring comprehensive support for all learners.
