Our relationship with Washington County has been ongoing since the 1960s. Wold has worked to create multiple facility master plans and implement three major court projects on the County’s Stillwater campus, as well as countless improvements, upgrades, and studies that ultimately improve Washington County’s mission to be a great place to live, work, and play today and in the future.
Facing a future of growth, in 2005, Wold developed a 20-year master plan for Washington County, with implementation plans for courts, law enforcement, and government offices. The master plan focused on the expansion and renovation of their existing campus in Stillwater and the development of two service centers. Campus improvements included a three-story addition to the Law Enforcement Center (LEC), a court addition & renovation, and a Government Center renovation. The project included an addition of eight new courtrooms with six additional shelled out for future finishing, remodeling of five existing courtrooms & support spaces, facilitating upgrades to building systems to improve overall operational efficiencies of the facility, addressing the issue of secure & accessible entry to the courts from the existing LEC & Government Center, restocking and remodeling of the entire six-level Government Center to locate customer service places closest to the main entry while moving internal support spaces to the higher floors.
The multi-phased project met the long-term needs of the community while remaining sensitive to their growth.
