Wold listened to the growing administrative office needs of Waukegan CUSD 60 and customized a unique new facility.
Their new offices accommodate over 100 employees, as well as public welcome spaces, a board room, and wrap-around-center for community outreach. Functions include a centralized HR, payroll, district-wide teaching and learning and technology, as well as superintendent, counsel, business, and communications directors.
Wold worked closely with staff in core group sessions to vision their spaces for the future. Their criteria included mobility, working in more open social spaces, and varied-sized meeting rooms with technology. The well-being of staff was important as well as having quiet work zones, privacy acoustics, air quality, and security. Because of the public face, the lobby needed to be bright, welcoming, and accommodating to children while their parents are registering at the Welcome Center.
