Originally built in the 1930s, the Chevy Chase Country Club features a charming French chateau exterior. Over time, numerous additions resulted in a diversity of architectural expressions. The building's exterior was a combination of stucco, wood and brick. In recent years, it had started to exhibit signs of aging and deterioration.
To address this, Wold was hired to plan for a complete exterior facelift of the building intended to both preserve and modernize its character. The resulting design not only refreshed its aesthetic appeal but also significantly enhanced its longevity and ease of maintenance by upgrading to durable, long-lasting materials and fully replacing the roof, windows and doors.
