Wray School District received a BEST grant to move their middle school over to the existing site where the elementary and high schools were located. Wold helped Wray develop a strategy to "stitch" the new middle school classrooms between the elementary school and high school separate buildings to create a unified PK-12 campus.
A new middle school gymnasium was added, and the existing cafeteria was expanded to meet the capacity needs of the additional middle school. During the Design Advisory Group process, the school evaluated the idea of keeping a traditional media center versus creating a mixed-use "learning center" that is centrally located and is available for use by all students. The new library media center (LMC) is an open area flanked by multiple break-out conference rooms and STEM/maker space labs.
